Skip Trace Home

Skip tracing is a process used to find a debtor who has relocated or disappeared to avoid legal responsibilities, such as debt payments. Skip Trace in DRNsights Plus utilizes public record data to display all vehicles registered to an individual, and shows scan information for that person. Agencies can perform searches using VINs or SSNs to identify an individual that a vehicle is registered to, and obtain contact information including phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses.

Skip Trace displays the same information that can be viewed in Vehicle Search.

To view this product, select Skip Trace on the DRNsights Plus home page, followed by Skip Trace in the Product column on the desired vehicle record.

To edit a record in Skip Trace:

  1. Select the + icons on the page to add any primary vehicle, primary address or contact information.
  2. In the Primary Address field, select the share icon. The Additional Addresses page displays.
