Impound

When a vehicle is placed in an impoundment lot or tow yard until they are placed back in the control of the owner, a vehicle record will be labeled as Impound under Loss Type. A record marked as Impound will display agency and contact information. 

An Impound record displays a Fee Calculator that can be used to obtain an estimate for storage fees and vehicle retrieval.  

To use the Fee Calculator:

2. Enter a total into the Initial Fees field. 
3. Enter a total into the Daily Storage Fees field. 
4. Select a Date of Input.

The Total Days from Date of Input and Estimated Total Fees as of Today fields will populate based on the input in the fields above. Select Save to record this fee information.
